General
The University Representative Body is the highest governing body of the ÖH (Austrian Student Union) at the University of Salzburg. It is elected every two years by the university's students during the ÖH elections. Members with the right to vote and to submit motions include the 13 representatives from the elected student groups, while officers and the chairs of the faculty representative bodies hold the right to submit motions. Representatives are elected via a list-based system in which various groups compete.
The UV represents the students—for instance, in dealings with the city and the university administration—and appoints representatives to the student caucus of the Senate. It coordinates cooperation between student representative bodies (StVen and FVen) and appoints officers to implement projects across the university and the ÖH Uni Salzburg.
Among other things, the Student Union Assembly (UV) approves the annual budget estimates and the statutes applicable to all bodies of the ÖH. You can find all services offered or funded by the ÖH University of Salzburg under the "Service" section.

Since April 2026, the executive committee of the ÖH Salzburg student union has been formed by the Association of Socialist Students in Austria (VSStÖ) and Green & Alternative Students (GRAS).
